Coindexter.com is an online, game-based, virtual world that teaches kids ages 6-12 how to earn, save, spend, invest, and budget money. Unlike existing products of similar nature, coindexter.com engages children by immersing them in an exciting virtual city named Econopolis. In the autonomous learning environment of Econopolis, children can learn and explore at their own pace as members of the ‘Coindexter Club’.
Children create a fully customizable avatar based on gender, skin color, hair and facial attributes as well as an extensive collection of wardrobe items. Children perform chores and jobs in order to earn money and can choose to spend, save, or invest their earnings. Money can be spent on new clothing items or haircuts in several of the stores in Downtown Econopolis.
Children can also choose to spend money on new equipment items that will help them perform chores and jobs quicker and more efficiently. Players are also given the opportunity to purchase stock in any of the stores that operate in Downtown Econopolis.
Although there are many spending options, children are encouraged to save their money in order to become an elite member of the Coindexter Club.
The program can be licensed by community Banks and Credit Unions and includes not only full branding within the virtual world of Econopolis, but also a wide range of fully customized print products including the quarterly Econopolis Observer (official newspaper of Econopolis), birthday cards, savings passbooks, membership guides and much more! All of our products are customized with the licensing financial institution’s name and logo and are personalized for each child member.
